We encourage research librarians to list this journal among their library's electronic journal holdings. As well, it may be worth noting that this journal's open source publishing system is suitable for libraries to host for their faculty members to use with journals they are involved in editing (see Open Journal Systems).

Guidelines for Librarians in "Academic Journal of Clinicians"

3. Monitor the usage of library materials to ensure that they are being used properly.
4. Develop and maintain an online library catalog system that is easily accessible to readers and authors.
5. Maintain current lists of relevant research in the field of clinical practice.
6. Monitor library usage metrics to track trends in journal readership.
7. Collaborate with other librarians and library staff.
8. Provide relevant information to journal readers and authors about the review process for journal articles, including how the review process will be conducted, how to request a published article from the journal, how to submit a manuscript to be considered for publication in the journal, and so on.
9. Ensure that all library materials are responsibly disposed of in accordance with local and state laws for paper records.
10. Participate in professional development activities related to journals within one's area of interest as well as opportunities offered by other librarians who specialize in specific areas of knowledge or professions
